Through layering, scraping, covering, and revealing, I transform the original image rather than completely erasing it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis work is dominated by a cool, atmospheric palette of turquoise, blue, green, and violet, interrupted by a vivid concentration of warm reds, oranges, and ochres in the upper left. These contrasting colors create a sense of tension and movement, while translucent layers and fragmented marks give the surface an almost dreamlike depth.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe composition exists somewhere between landscape, architecture, and pure abstraction. Forms appear and disappear beneath the surface, encouraging the viewer to look beyond the immediately visible.
