Unlike many of my more energetic compositions, this work emerged from a quieter and more contemplative state. Built through multiple layers of acrylic paint, subtle textures, and tonal variations, it explores depth, stillness, and the emotional power of color. The rich blue and turquoise palette evokes water, sky, and infinite space, while remaining intentionally abstract and open to interpretation.
As a self-taught abstract artist, I am fascinated by the ability of color alone to create
atmosphere and emotion. I chose acrylic on canvas for its versatility, allowing me to build translucent layers and textured surfaces that reveal themselves gradually over time. Painting is my meditation, and this piece reflects that experience. Rather than demanding attention, it invites a slower encounter—one of reflection, calm, and presence. I hope viewers will find a moment of peace within its depths and discover their own personal associations, memories, or emotions as they engage with the work.
