Jacare is an exploration of personal transformation, emotional growth, and the complex process of mental healing. Created as part of my Transformation series, the painting reflects the journey of learning to live with, understand, and gradually transform the intense aspects of one's personality. The composition is built through multiple layers of acrylic paint, where vibrant oranges, greens, turquoise blues, and magenta tones interact in a constantly shifting visual landscape. Areas of turbulence and calm coexist, mirroring the inner dialogue between emotional intensity and the search for balance. The painting evolved intuitively, allowing each layer to respond to the one before it, much like personal growth itself. Hidden on the right edge of the composition is a small crocodile-like figure—the "Jacare." This subtle presence symbolizes our instinctive nature, the ancient and untamed part of ourselves that remains beneath the surface. During periods of transformation, these hidden aspects often emerge, demanding attention and understanding rather than suppression. For me, painting is an essential part of the healing process. It is a form of meditation, self- reflection, and emotional release. Through the act of painting, intense emotions are transformed into color, movement, and texture, creating space for greater awareness and inner peace. Jacare invites viewers to explore their own process of transformation and to recognize that growth is not about eliminating who we are, but about integrating every part of ourselves into a more conscious and harmonious whole.
