Transformation 164
90x90, 2026, Acrylic on canvas
TRANSFORMATION 164 is part of my ongoing Transformation series, in which I give new life to older paintings by partially covering, scraping, layering, and reworking their surfaces. Rather than erasing what existed before, I allow fragments of the original image to remain visible, creating a dialogue between memory and renewal.
This work is built around a restrained palette of earthy browns, warm whites, charcoal, and unexpected flashes of deep blue and violet. Its fragmented architecture and intersecting lines suggest structures that are simultaneously emerging and dissolving. Layers of paint, texture, and abrasion create a surface that feels weathered, almost archaeological—as if different moments in time have accumulated within the same image.
The painting reflects the idea that transformation is not about starting again, but about reinterpreting what already exists. What was once familiar becomes something ambiguous, abstract, and new. The remaining traces invite the viewer to search for what lies beneath the surface, while the new layers suggest movement, change, and the possibility of renewal.

Where Color Finds Depth.
Each painting is built in layers — instinct, movement, and bold color — made to bring real presence into a room, not just decorate it.
